About Me:

I am currently working on the feedbacks of methane and nitrous oxide emissions from rice soils, based on the empirical establishment of the relationship between soil temperature change and the three corner stones of methane formation and emission: production, oxidation and transport. The other component of my research focuses on the nature of microbial consortia and conditions conducive to methane formation. I am interested in population dynamics of methanogens and methanotrophs and how this is linked to methane emissions. In general, I am interested in air pollution and molecular spectroscopic and isotopic analysis of air composition, climate, global change, and biogeochemical cycling of N and C in aquatic, wetland and terrestrial environments; Field measurements and analysis of the exchanges of radiatively and chemically important trace gases between the atmosphere and wetland and terrestrial environments.
